Family of Scholarships Award

Description

The Aqua Foundation will offer scholarship awards of $1,000.00 and $3,000.00

Purpose of Award

To encourage continuing education for self-identified Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender students and to recognize future LBT leaders in South Florida.

Eligibility

You must be a resident of Broward, or Miami Dade
County, have a history of leadership in the LBT
community and plan to be a LBT leader in the future.
You must submit an application with required
supporting materials.

Terms

Upon execution of the award contract, the cash awards are paid jointly to the student and the institution and are intended primarily for tuition and fees. The award must be used within 2 (two) years of receipt.

Application Deadline

Application and supporting material must be postmarked by March 1 of the award year.

The Anita Priest Scholarship has
been extended until July 31, 2008.

Criteria For Judging Applicants

	Affirmation of LBT identity or demonstrated leadership in LBT community
	Demonstration of financial need
	Participation and leadership in LBT community activities
	Determination and potential to achieve personal and academic goals
	Demonstration of academic fortitude
